I know who killed me

As the debate continues over what Lindsay Lohan's personal woes of the past week will mean to her career, the star's new movie, I Know Who Killed Me, strongly divided the nation's movie critics on Saturday – a day after it opened to the public with no advance press screenings by its studio.
While the Boston Globe found it "intensely unpleasant" and The New York Times considered it "pretentious and inane," the movie received more than passing marks from The Washington Post, which called it "a credible piece of pop entertainment of the hottie-in-distress genre" and says, "Lohan brilliantly brings off her double turn."
In the R-rated movie, Lohan plays small-town teen Aubrey Fleming, a good student who is kidnapped and tortured by a serial killer before she escapes. She then wakes up in a hospital as Dakota Moss, a stripper, while the real Aubrey still faces danger.
Still, despite The Post's approbation, the Associated Press only awarded the movie one star (out of a possible four), the Orlando Sentinel gave it one out of five (and called it "an unintentionally hilarious disaster") and the New York Post gave it no stars whatsoever.
Just as bad were the Hollywood trade papers.
"Enduring this ponderous, convoluted thriller is pure torture," summarized the Hollywood Reporter, adding: "You might, however, find yourself asking just what was Lohan – whose promising career already has taken a few hits with such films as Just My Luck and Georgia Rule – thinking when she signed on to this nonsense?"
Equally unmerciful was Variety, which said, "Much like the ongoing real-world meltdown of its troubled star, Lindsay Lohan, I Know Who Killed Me is a disaster that exerts a perverse fascination."
As for its box-office prospects, the review says the picture "might possibly benefit ... from tabloid coverage of Lohan's ongoing travails. But, then again, probably not."
Sure enough, from early indications Killing Me is not killing 'em at the movieplex. In its opening day – which was ruled by the new The SImpsons Movie – Lohan's picture made only $1.3 million, putting it at No. 9 on the box-office chart. Reuters reports it will be lucky to finish the weekend with $5 million.

Gonu storm

Hello everyone ..

Today my country is facing a dangerous storm ..Gonu storm had hit the Sultanate of Oman this morning ..The weather is rainning in Muscat and other regions in Oman.Thank god that Oman called on people living in areas at risk to leave before the cyclone reaches land, the official ONA news agency said. Oman's weather service warned of winds of 185 km-205 km (114-128 miles) per hour causing "very high waves".Anyway Tropical cyclone Gonu is now located at position 23.3N 59.3E, 60 miles / 100 km eastsoutheast of Musqat, Oman. Maximum sustained winds near the centre 75 knots. Hurricane force winds (more than 65 knots or 120 kph) extend up to 40 miles / 65 km from the centre, storm force winds 70 miles / 110 km, and galeforce winds up to 140 miles / 225 km. This radii will continue to decrease as the cyclone weakens. Gonu will pass Musqat close by at 1800 GMT today, before veering north into Iran at the Straits of Hormuz, which will be reached early on Saturday. On landfall, the cyclone will be little more than a tropical depression, with barely galeforce winds. Gonu has seen a very rapid decrease in strength, brought about by lower temperature of the sea, shallower depth of the sea, the proximity of land and entrainment of very dry air from the Arabian peninsula. Nonetheless, the cyclone will continue to pose a substantial hazard to land over the next few days, as well as to shipping through the Straits of Hormuz.

Insha Allah this storm will end soon without losing lives ...

Death note

Death Note
is a Japanese manga series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata centering around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook.
Death Note first began as a manga series first serialized by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from the first issue in December 2003 to May 2006, with 108 chapters in total. The series has been published in its entirety in 12 graphic novels in Japan. Eventually, Death Note was licensed for American publication by VIZ Media and began to be released in October 2005. Later, a set of live-action movies based on the series were planned for production, with the first part released on June 17, 2006, and the second part due out on November 3, 2006. An anime series based on the manga commenced airing in Japan on October 3, 2006.

Plotline of Death Note

Light Yagami is a brilliant, but bored, high school student who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground in the year 2003. The Death Note's instructions claim that, if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, believing it is just a prank. However, after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit the Death Note is real. After meeting with the true owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become the "God of new world" by passing his judgment on criminals.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira"(derived from the Japanese pronouncation of the English word "Killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people just by knowing their face and name. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race to prove mental superiority between the two begins.

Blood+

Blood+ starts a few decades after the events of Blood the last vampire . Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya Otonashi has been living the life of an anemic and amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl. However, Saya’s happy life is shattered to pieces when she is attacked by a chiroptera, and learns that she is the only one who can defeat them. Armed with her sword, Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies and faithful servant, Haji, to rid the world of Chiroptera and rediscover her identity.

The series is initially set in present day (September 2005) okinawa city (Koza), on okinawa Island, near the US Kadena Air Base. In the course of the series, Saya visits many locales across the world.

Saya's Friends and Family

The series revolves around Saya Otonashi, a seemingly ordinary high school student who lives with her adopted family and secretly guarded by her Chevalier, Haji. Her adopted father, George Miyagusuku, is a veteran of the Vietnam War and was entrusted with Saya by David's father. Her elder brother, Kai Miyagusuku, is a star athelete, while her younger brother, Riku Miyagusuku, is a kind and smart boy who loves to cook.

Red Shield (Goldschmidts)

An organization formed to combat the Chiroptera, the Red Shield was founded by the descendants of Joel Goldschmidt, the man who originally found Saya and Diva and unleashed the Chiropteran menace into the world. Most Red Shield members are culled from survivors of Chiroptera attacks, and all possess a trinklet with an embedded Chiropteran crystal. The Red Shield's greatest enemy is Diva, and are responsible for Saya's protection and well-being.
